Writing code used to be the slow, expensive part. It isn't any more, and we're delighted. We use AI every day, and we get through work in days that used to take weeks.
But nobody ever lost money because a developer typed too slowly. They lost it because someone built the wrong thing, or the right thing badly, or nobody asked what happens when two people press the button at once.
That judgement comes from having done this since 2011 and got some of it wrong along the way. AI makes it more valuable, not less.
