The four steps, in a bit more detail
The same shape whether you are coming off Visualsoft, Magento, WooCommerce, OpenCart or something built in-house fifteen years ago.
Discovery and data mapping
Before anything moves, we audit what you currently have:
- Catalogue
- Custom functionality
- Integrations
- SEO footprint
- Data structure
The migration plan is built around what we find, not a template. Every data type is mapped to its equivalent on the new platform before any migration begins, and anything that does not map directly is handled carefully rather than dropped.
Site build and data migration
The new store is built while your existing store stays fully live and trading. No downtime, and no risk to current revenue.
Products, variants, images, customers, orders, CMS content and all associated data are transferred and validated. Nothing left behind.
Bespoke integration and URL mapping
Everything hanging off the side of your store gets rebuilt and reconnected:
- ERP connections
- Warehouse systems
- Payment gateways
- Email automation
- Analytics
Every URL on the old platform is mapped to its equivalent on the new one, with 301 redirects set up and validated before go-live. A post-migration technical SEO audit is included.
Testing and go-live
Checkout, payments, tax calculations, shipping, emails, returns, stock updates and integrations are all tested before anything changes for your customers.
We go live when testing is complete, not when the calendar says so. DNS cutover happens at the planned point, followed by intensive monitoring in the days immediately after launch. Issues are fixed immediately — no disappearing after delivery.
