Dev Partners · Founders
Two developers from Kent. Been at this since 2008. Every project goes through one of us personally - there is no one else.

Before Dev Partners, we both spent years inside businesses watching the same things go wrong. It gets old quickly.
Off-the-shelf tools that do not quite fit - so the team spends half their time working around the system instead of using it.
CRMs and platforms loaded with features nobody asked for, while the one thing the business actually needs is missing entirely.
Agencies that do a great pitch, deliver mediocre work, and disappear. Leaving the client to deal with the fallout six months later.
Good people wasting hours every week on manual processes that should have been automated years ago.
That is exactly why we started Dev Partners. Not to be another agency. To be the people you actually want to work with when something needs building properly.
Managing Director & Co-founder
Rob grew up in Northfleet, just outside Gravesend in Kent. He spent years working in B2B publishing and media - everything from UNIX systems management through to full-scale platform development - before deciding to take that experience and make it available to businesses that needed it most.
He founded Dev Partners in 2008 with a fairly simple premise: that most businesses deserve software that actually fits the way they work, not software that forces them to change how they work to accommodate it.
Rob handles most of the client relationships, project direction, and the awkward conversations when something needs to change. He is direct, occasionally blunt, and genuinely not interested in wasting your time or his own. If something is not going to work, he will tell you before you spend money finding out.
He is also a semi-professional musician - you might catch him on stage somewhere in Kent if you know where to look.
Jason's background is, to put it mildly, varied. He started his career in microprocessor engineering, writing firmware for military and aviation hardware. From there he moved through tech support, PR agencies, dioceses, and large-scale eCommerce operations - picking up a working understanding of an unusually broad range of industries along the way.
That breadth matters more than it sounds. When Jason looks at a problem, he is drawing on experience that most developers simply do not have. He tends to see the complications coming before they arrive, which makes a material difference when you are building something that has to work reliably in a real business environment.
He handles the deep technical architecture, the integrations that look straightforward until they are not, and the kind of precision work where getting the figures exactly right actually matters. The FreeAgent and NetSuite integrations, for example, are very much his territory.
Outside of work, Jason is usually scuba diving, gardening, or at the theatre. Occasionally all three in the same week.
Technical Director & Co-founder
We do not have a sales team. When you contact us, you get us. Here is how that plays out.
No account manager, no pre-sales consultant. The first conversation is with the people who will actually build your project.
We will not quote for something we do not understand. We spend time mapping how your business actually works before suggesting how to change it.
100% UK-based, in-house. No offshore, no subcontracting, no mystery third party. You know who is writing the code because you have already spoken to them.
Most of our clients have been with us for years. We are not interested in doing one project and moving on - we want to be the people you call when the next thing needs building.
If your idea will not work, we will say so. If there is a simpler way to solve the problem, we will suggest it even if it means less work for us. It is the only way to build a relationship worth having.
Suites 6 & 7, 27-28 Windmill Street. We work with clients across the UK - most projects never need us in the same room, but we are there if they do.
We will tell you what something is likely to cost before you commit to anything. No vague estimates designed to get you through the door, then surprises later.
Requirements evolve. We build in a way that accommodates that - and we are honest about when a change affects scope or budget rather than quietly absorbing it and resenting you for it.
If clunky systems are slowing you down, let’s talk. No sales patter. No corporate waffle. Just a straightforward conversation about fixing the stuff that wastes your time.
Two normal blokes who happen to be good at untangling messy systems. We’ll talk to you like humans, not consultants, and help you find the simplest way forward.
We’ll reply within one working day. No spam. No waffle.
In case you are wondering what "we build it ourselves" actually looks like in practice.
